Book Review: The Money $aving Mom’s Budget

The first part of November I received an e-mail from Crystal Paine (the brains behind Money Saving Mom) with an opportunity to preview and review her 1st published book due out January 10th, 2012. I have been a fan of Money Saving Mom for years now and can tell you firsthand that this book did not disappoint.

You can pre-order your copy of the book The Money Saving Mom’s Budget: Slash Your Spending, Pay Down Your Debt, Streamline Your Life, and Save Thousands a Year.

I am a huge fan of budgeting and finance books (I know you would have never guessed right!)  and I have to tell you this book is remarkably comprehensive. Crystal covers every aspect of your financial health and includes worksheets to get you there. She talks heavily about the mindset required to succeed in finances (as well as most other things in life). And if you’ve been around here a full 3 minutes you know how much of an advocate of these same concepts I am. She encourages and walks you through not just setting up a budget, but tackling goal setting, and controlling chaos that could be hindering you from succeeding in your journey, as well as finding contentment in life regardless of your current circumstance. The book is well written and provides fundamental concepts that are easy to understand even by a budgeting novice.

While the name of the book is referencing budgeting, this book is about tackling so much more in your life. I absolutely think it would be a great addition to your personal home library or to grab a few copies to have on hand for bridal showers or even graduation gifts. Make your 2012 the most profitable one yet and pre-order your copy of The Money Saving Mom’s Budget: Slash Your Spending, Pay Down Your Debt, Streamline Your Life, and Save Thousands a Year.
