My challenge is feeding 7 kids healthy with lots of choices on a budget. I would love to know her secret!
Not using credit cards is a huge thing to do when trying to save money!
Meal planning!!! Saves time, saves headache, and definitely saves money. Rarely do we make unplanned purchases at the grocery store!
price match groceries at walmart!
My best budget tip is always use coupons!!! We have managed to save thousands over a period of a 6 months by simply using coupons and not being brand loyal
my frugal tip is to let my husband shop he sticks to the list and does not buy half the store like i do lol!
Love it Christy!
My best frugal tip is buying diapers ahead with coupons, so I never have to run out to the store at the last minute and pay full price. This may seem obvious to some people, but before I started couponing I was paying full price every time. This has of course turned into a great savings for my family budget.
My best budget/frugal tip is to eat at home!
My best money saving tip is to only bring a certain amount of cash with you to grocery shop. This way you won’t have money to back you up if you go over budget.
My best tip is: don’t spend what you don’t have. If you don’t have the money for it, you can’t by it. Enough said.
Now That’s a concept Holly
Using cash whenever possible
Cash Envelopes and meal planning/ preparing meals the night before we have to work so they are ready and the chaotic mornings of getting 2 children under 2 years old ready for the day don’t set our day up for disaster by needing to eat out.
My frugal tip is to make do with what I have, if possible.
Only go to the grocery store once a week.
Using our gas station credit card for all our expenses and then paying it off each month has netted us TONS of free gas!
Thanks for a chance to read this book! :0)
I struggle with this but I know I am slowly getting better is realizing, less is more and it is okay not to stock pile all the time if you don’t have the room for it.
I liked you on fb.
My best budget idea…don’t take your 14 year old child with you shopping…or for your sanity…don’t take your three year old with you either…I can find deals and spend less without either of them…and then after shopping without them I have more energy and excitement and I can take them some place fun!!!
My best frugal tip is when I do weekly menu planning, I go through the cupboards, freezer and frig first to see how many meals I can make with the items that I have on hand. It’s fun to figure out what I can make with things that are only in my house at the time and it makes my grocery list much shorter! Allrecipes.com also has a great ingredient search that you can use if you want to find a recipe with only certain ingredients.
My best tip to be frugal long term is to think of saving as a gift, not a sacrifice. If you believe in the benefits of saving, you will be more likely to be happy with being frugal.
I like the envelope cash strategy…but if you are a little more diciplined you can make money by using your credit card with a cash back % and just keep a list in your envelope instead…which tallys up your spent amount.
A check book register works well for that too. I have a number of clients that utilize that to track their grocery budgets that prefer to not use cash.
My best tip is to stick with cash for your spending. You can’t overspend that way.
Cash envelopes and “telling your money” where to go before it arrives.
My best tip is to use an envelope system, whether with cash, which is what is recommended, or digitally, which is what I do.
My best tip is to make a budget and stick to it. Easy peasy.

My best tip is to use coupons! It’s free money so why not!
Best budget tip is using cash for everything.
My best tip is to use POINTS! Sometimes we may overlook points we could be earning from companies we already use. For the last 2 Christmas’ my husband and I bought almost everything for the holiday using points from Mypoints and his travel points.
matching up coupons with sale items… I really save a lot by doing that.
Make a list, and stick to it when you go grocery shopping.
My best tip is to shop at thrift stores. Once you bring an item home, wear it, take it out of the box, whatever, it’s used. I LOVE buying used items at a fraction of the cost at a thrift store!
Thanks for the chance to win a copy of the book.
We drink water or milk at home!
Use grocery ads to plan your meals for the week and then only buy what’s on your list for the week!
Homemade meals as much as possible
My best budget tips are BUDGET and watch it like a hawk. Also, don’t get sucked into buying more house than you can afford!
STAY HOME!!! Seriously, less “window shopping” means less spending! When you shop, stick to a list!
I would love to win a copy! Crystal is so inspiring! My best tip is to get on the same page financially as your spouse and communicate often about your goals!
I was telling my aunt who eats out every single meal that cooking from scratch is the best way to go. especially when you buy foods you actually eat with coupons and during sales and stockpile when you get those awesome deals.

My best budget tip is teamwork…it takes the whole family to stay on track
First budget tip is to sit down and actually make one, then follow up once a month to see how you’re doing.
We save money by ditching cable and getting Hulu!
One of my favorite tips is to really be content with what you have. If you are always shopping and looking for deals, even $6 here and there, it still adds up. Take care of the things you own, purchase more staples for your wardrobe (and less in the category of trendy) that will last for many years and can be livened up with accessories, etc. etc. etc. Be content!
Always unplug appliances when you’re not using them. We never spend over $100 a month on electricity, even in scorching hot Houston because of that.
Have a meal plan, it saves you tons on groceries when you plan ahead of time. And also, don’t go shopping very much. If you’re not in stores, then you don’t have as much temptation to spend.
A great way to save money is to buy what’s on sale!
Be content with what you have and be creative with what you already have
buying kids clothes resale only
Coupon clip and live within your means. Also try bartering, we’ve done well with that.
I avoid going to the store unless I really need something. I only go grocery shopping one day a week for the loss leader items and other coupon items.
Not eating out and using cash only!
We save money by cloth diapering our little boy
One of my best budget tips has to do with food. When you are making a meal just double it and freeze the other for later. Also, when you chop things like onions, etc. chop a whole bunch at a time and freeze in ice cream scoop sizes to use in dishes. Saves so much time!
Save $ on air fresheners by combining a few drops of your favorite essential oils with filtered water in a mist sprayer. Better on the earth, better on your health, better on your budget.
Great idea Rebecca.
We cook from scratch as well as coupon clip. My favorite is cooking from scratch!
However I am new and still learning how to save! Would like to read this book.

use coupons & watch your sales , & match coupons to them.
Using coupons to purchase things you need and cooking at home. This will save tons!!
use cash, use credit cards sparingly or not at all! thanks for doing this!!
Eat home cooked meals. I would love to win this book so thank you for the opportunity!
Just because its on sale doesn’t mean its a good deal if I don’t need it!
Commute to the city with my husband. Even though it takes some planning and being flexible it saves us easily $75 a week.
Sometimes I go to a store during the day just to get out of the house with my baby. Don’t do this . I always end up buying dumb things.
Frugal Tip- microwave popcorn- make it in a Celebrating Home bean pot- healthier and cheaper. Or since I bought the bean pot specifically to make popcorn I read it can also be done in paper bags in the microwave.
Nice Carisa! Do you use any oil? How long do you cook it for? We use our air popper all the time. But I don’t think we save much money considering how much butter gets used on it and the price of butter
only buy what you need & be content w/what you have .. working on that but i’ve found that if i stay out of the stores & stick to a list it’s easier ;D
Cash is the way to go. Keeps from overspending.
We save lots of money by buying restaurant gift certificates on daily deal sites. You can often save 50% on a meal. We are always careful, though, to buy only certificates for places where we plan to eat anyway.
Never pay full price online, use coupon codes…can save tons.
I’d love to win this book! Crystal’s one of my favorites.

I like the frugal tip of making bigger dinners. and Freezing the leftovers for future dinner/lunch.
Shopping for food at dent stores. Packing is damaged but food is just as good!
Best way I’ve saved money is to learn how to give my children haircuts…also going to yard sales/thrift stores/resale shops for kids’ clothes has saved us lots of money.
we have liked you on Facebook!
I consign the kids clothes for cash and buy mostly resale clothes for them whenever possible.
Introduce yourself to the person who delivers the newspaper that has coupon inserts (whether you subscribe or not). Ask what he/she does with the leftover inserts. I was able to et free coupons without buying the paper. It never hurts to ask.

Take an empty clean spray bottle and fill to neck with tap water. Add a cap-ful of liquid fabric softener. Put nozzle on tight & shake. Toss wet clothes into dryer. Immediately spray the solution 5-7 times in dryer. Close dryer and start cycle. This little trick has saved us so much money!! I used to buy Bounce sheets and tear them in half -no more! An old wise woman shared this with me and I was skeptical at first but 3+ years later it has worked like a charm. I haven’t purchased fabric softener in a long long time.. still using the original bottle!! No static or anything either… give it a go!

My best budget / frugal tip would be to always live below your means.
I would love to have a copy of this book! Crystal seems so passionate about it that it creates an excitement to read it.
By best tip (that has really saved me money) is the creation of a store pricing chart. For a few weeks, I bought my typical stock up pantry items at several different stores. Then, I took my receipts and created a chart with the prices of those items at the different stores so I could compare. Now, when I run out of something I know exactly which store has the best price on that item. The chart also helps me know if sale prices are actually a good deal. My best money tip is to download e-books from the library for free! Sometimes there is a waiting list for the really good books, but it’s worth the wait.
So many businesses have coupons either in the mail, on their website, in the local paper and if nothing else google the business and see what you come up with before spending full price on anything.
My best tip is use coupons With sale ads to save more
One good budget tip to save money is to combine the store sales with coupons.

My best tip is to always find a way to eat all of your leftovers. We never let any leftover food go to waste!
I always look for half price deals at the grocery store!
My best tips are to look for a coupon for everything on my list before going shopping, and researching which store has my items on sale that week. I used to buy everthing on my list. Now I WAIT to buy until my item is 1)on sale, and 2) on coupon. It’s been working. It love this book for more in depth financial advice. Thanks

My best frugal tip. Never shop without preparing first. Always make a list and stick 2 it.
My best frugal tip: Talk about being frugal with your kids as you go along. Take them on the journey; when you shop, as you write out bills, make a budget, refinance your mortgage.
This will make a lasting impression on future generations. Do we do it all right – absolutely not! But I’ve learned through my mistakes and want to share all of this with my kids before they venture out on their own.
That’s my best tip!
thrift store shopping is the best frugal advice!
