I did make The Husband some cinnamon rolls for his birthday today. And It’s not even 2014. I keep thinking I’ll do extra so I can freeze some but even when I make extra we all just eat more. And we really don’t need extra around this week, or ever for that matter.
We are doing a three day detox cleanse this week due to a rash that started about a month ago that has never gone away. The Husband graciously has agreed to join me in it. After having a conversation with a client last week I started wondering if there are some food allergies that might be causing the skin irritation. Turns out there are a million resources that point to gluten, dairy, or nut allergies for the symptoms that I have. So weird. And a bit depressing.
Is it bad that I’m praying that the cleanse and trial diet will result in no improvements so I can keep eating wheat, cheese, and peanuts? I love bread. And I love cheese more. I like cheese on my bread. MMM grilled cheese. Good thing bacon’s not on that list, or wine.
Wait!!!! Is there gluten in wine?!?!?!? Oh please tell me there can be no food allergies to wine or bacon. I would give up now!
Has anyone else discovered a food reaction that wasn’t really severe but made a huge difference when you cut it out of your diet?
So our menu plan this week is going to be more basic because it’s only feeding the kids for half the time.
Sunday: Super Bowl Party
Monday: Twice Baked Sausage Potatoes
Tuesday: Beef Taco Skillet (Detox Cleanse)
Wednesday: Microwaved Parmesan Chicken (Detox Cleanse)
Thursday: Curry Crockpot Chicken over rice (Detox Cleanse)
Friday: Homemade Pizza
Saturday: Tacos

Welcome Angie.
It’s awesome that your husband is doing the detox with you! My wife needed to go on a very low calorie diet after having our last baby to get in shape for work, and I’ve been doing it with her (and starving to death!) But it’s worth it for me, and a happy wife is a happy life!
Smart Man Mr. Moneyseed. Smart Man.
Honestly though, misery really does love company.
Only one day left and I feel like an addict that vacillates back and forth from I can do this to give me the pasta and a bottle of wine and no one will get hurt.
Great news, no gluten in wine
I cut out gluten (wheat) a little over a year ago, and while its hard And sad when I pass by a good bakery, I do feel much better. Good luck!
